22/09/2025 – Day 11

By

A couple of weeks ago I got the confirmation from my treating psychiatrist that I am showing signs of thyroxine excess. He advised me to start reducing my six-year-long daily dose of 700 mcg.

To do so, I had to stop taking levothyroxine all together for five consecutive days. I shared with you this experience as it happened. At the time, I had doubts I would even survive 72 hours.

Today, I have been on my new reduced dose of 600 mcg for the 11th day. I am happy to report that all is under control.

This is definitely a good sign.

Today, as I took my 6 pills I paused for a moment and felt gratitude.

Yesterday is over, tomorrow is unknown… We have the now only, and that is all what matters…

This is what my dearest husband always tells me.

Today is his birthday, and this is a shoutout to you, Hassan.

If it wasn’t for you, I would not be here today. If it wasn’t for you, I would not be who I am. You have been here every single step of the way, holding my hand and giving me hope and confidence.

You never loved me less when I was sick. You trusted me when I told you that I was being wrongly treated. You spent sleepless nights and a fortune to take care of me.

You work an impossible schedule and make sure you are truly present. You bring to me – and to us all- so much joy and wisdom. You are our backbone.

You live for us, and to us you are life.

Happy Birthday my love.
